Good Evening Friends!
It’s Thursday, November 15th. A week away from enjoying turkey and family, but not for all of us!
We took today to post updates on the fire, people, and animals of the Camp Fire burning in Northern California.
This fire is so devastating we just can’t ignore it. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the fires throughout California. We give thanks to all the professionals who are fighting these fires, helping victims, and the reporters covering the fires.
Continuing our plans for the New Year, one of the things that trouble us when finding stories for you is Pay Walls!
A great deal of the newspapers or magazines we get stories from have pay walls. We’ve subscribed to a few, but for the most part we try to post stories that are not behind pay walls. This makes getting good stories hard.
In an effort to make this work for you we will continue to try and find the best stories that are not behind pay walls. In the event that a story we post is behind a pay wall we will let you know. Remember that most of these news sources allow free article for a limited amount of time. Not that really helps, but it does give you and us a chance to read and post a story from the news.
We included an example (how we will let you know) today with the story from the Fresno Bee about a 93 year old woman that moved to Clovis, CA after her home burned down due to the Camp Fire in Paradise, CA
If you’re enjoying this newsletter would you do us a huge favor? Pass it along to others so you can help us grow, which ic one of our goals for 2019. We thought we’d start early!
Be Well,
Mark & Patti
