Out With The Old, In With The New
We thought we should end the year with a review of the past year. Although every newsletter out there is doing the same thing, we’ve never been one to follow the others. So with that thought, we will get right into what’s planned for this coming year.
We have never been big on a fixed logo. Over the past few years, many have told us that we need identification, and a logo will do that for us. Hogwash! A logo doesn’t make the identity remarkable or memorable content, and a name does. To Patti and me, we think the name is cool, and our content keeps getting better as we grow. How about you?
So we’ll stick with our name and every so often change the background as we see fit or not at all. It all depends on our moods.
Our goal for 2022, just like other years, is to continue to grow. We’ve been at 40+ subscribers for a while now, and we would like to see that number go up. That’s where you come in for 2022. We need your help in making this happen by telling others about our little newsletter on your social channels.
We would also like to grow our membership some, not that we are greedy and want money, I mean $2.00 (we get $1.53 after fees) a month isn’t going to make us millionaires, but it does keep us in coffee and tea when working.

We will add a Sunday Review Newsletter for members to make that $2.00 worth it for 2022 and an incentive to sign up as a member. Along with that, we may add a few more features as we go along during the year, including a podcast exclusive to members.
How all of this will come into play and when is still a work in progress, but it’s on the drawing board. We’re just working out the content for the Sunday newsletter and the podcast.
All in all, it should be a great 2022 for our little newsletter that started a little over 4 years ago.
Some have told us to shut it down. Some have said it isn’t worth the time invested with little growth. Again we say hogwash. We enjoy publishing our little newsletter in hopes of giving you something more to talk about other than bad news/dirty laundry.
We still want to be the alternative news and culture source for California. That’s our mantra again for 2022 and the years to come.
Lastly, thank you for being part of our family and our growth so far. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for everyone that subscribes. All of you make us feel this newsletter is warranted in this day and age of everything that is going on.
We hope you’ll continue to subscribe and enjoy this newsletter as we go forward with new changes for 2022, and you’ll refer us to others as the source for alternative news and culture.
