Good Evening Friends!
We’re back from our little excursion to the coast, and we made it in one piece.
What I find amusing is when you take a trip on the weekend and make plans to include a Monday or a Friday (I would guess) people only consider the Saturday and Sunday as days not to bother you.
Here’s an example. Saturday was mostly a traveling day. We arrived in the early afternoon, and after checking in to our hotel, we spent time with family and cruising around Capitola and Santa Cruz.
Amazingly we made it through Saturday and Sunday with no phone calls that needed to be handled which led to some great sightseeing and shopping. Then Monday came.
Like clockwork, our extension into Monday (which family and work knew about) became just a regular workday and family day of phone calls and disasters. Funny how that happens. All weekend it was calm and then Monday morning comes, and all heck breaks loose.
Oh well, maybe we needed to tell them we were staying till Tuesday so we could get the extra day in. Keep that in mind on your next long weekend.
Either way, we had a great time, and I have a fantastic birthday weekend. Thanks, Patti for a grand 65th!
