Good Evening Friends!
Tonight we have…
  • Trafficking Survivor Helps Others
  • BBQing While Black in Oakland
  • A Latino’s Family Journey
  • A Mishegoss Recipe by Me
  • Remember the Squirrel from Sunday’s Newsletter? She escaped and is on the lam!
Trying to make these special sections work has been agonizing in a good and bad way. After thinking about it over the weekend, we believe we’ve come up with a solution that may or may not work.
We’re going to make each section a Flash Newsletter. As we described in a previous newsletter, a Flash Newsletter is a newsletter with an end date like eight weeks or 3 months or whatever is decided upon. Right now we’re looking at 6-8 weeks for each topic.
So starting in August, we’ll have flash newsletters about Homes, Gardens, & More, Food 4 Thought, & Back to School or Cannabis. Then we’ll switch it up after about 6-8 weeks.
If we find a specific Flash Newsletter doing well, we may keep it as a regular special section like we’re doing now. The idea is to see what topics are important to you other than the ones we cover already.
This also gives us and you more to check out with each edition. The good thing is you can always scroll by the Flash Newsletter or Special Section. We don’t mind!
Be Well,
Mark & Patti
BTW…See You Thursday!

The Mishegoss
I wrote this post about a week ago. It’s been a while since I wrote on Medium, especially about food. It’s not exactly mishegoss in the truest sense, but if you look at it as an insane and easy way to make a sauce, it is! Enjoy the recipe.
