Welcome to Wednesday’s It’s All Mishegoss. Hope you’re having a great week?
Are you a podcast listener? Do you feel podcasts are the way of the future for storytelling or more?
I’m in the middle of working on a personal project that is a serial podcast and would like to know your thoughts on podcasts in general. Things like serial, do you like that concept? Would you want a podcast that follows a chronological order or just haphazardly tell a story?
How about the content? Are you okay with cuss/swear words if they are part of the environment or do you want them edited out? What about sound effects? Do you feel sound effects are good for a podcast or not needed at all?
Let me know your thoughts by emailing me at email@example.com. It will help me form the structure and content of my new podcasts. Thanks for your thoughts in advance.
On to the newsletter:
Today I am focusing on one story for the newsletter. It’s about sexual abuse in assisted living center, nursing homes, and community homes throughout the United States.
Being 62 and on the cusp of 63 with health conditions, I am always thinking about the future and what happens if my health took a turn for the worse. How would my family deal with this issue if and when it happens?
After reading this article and doing some of my own research I have a totally new opinion of assisted living centers as well as the others I mentioned. I’m thinking death would be a better option. Sorry, that seems strong, but after you read the article below you may feel the same way.
I know there are groups out there trying to make changes, but it doesn’t look like they are gaining ground. This article really brings the entire issue to light and to the table.
After reading this article and deciding to post it I felt it best to let it live on its own in the newsletter.
The Mishegoss Files is still here and full of other stories that are a geat deal lighter in content. Like bees and the future of them. Then we cover some large or should I say huge spider webs in Austrailia. Then on to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and some of the best places to eat sweets. I thought you may like that one?
Well, that’s about it for Wednesday. Hope you have a great rest of the week and as always see you Sunday.
