Good Evening Friends!
Well, there goes June and here comes July. Are you ready? This summer, no matter what is going on, is flying by.
We Would Like Your Help
We are in the age of making newsletters more pointed in content. Over the last few weeks, publishers I have chatted with have suggested I find a niche for our readers. Not an easy task if you ask me.
We’ve tossed and turned about making this change since to us covering topics that aren’t top news is a niche covered by other newsletters, so isn’t that what we’re doing, only in California?
We’ve considered topics/niche’s like homelessness, crime, education, environment, and of course, food, my favorite.
At this point, we’re not sure what we will do. We will stick to what we do three (3) days a week, which we considered going to one day a week, but when we did a survey a while ago, the readers who took it concluded they enjoyed three days a week. So, here we are.
It was also suggested that I get more personal with each post with a little background or opinion. I don’t do that mainly because I would never want to offend anyone. Plus I’m not great at getting things down the way I would like.
I know for some just getting links to click on isn’t the best service of a newsletter, but for now it’s working. If you want more personal commentary I’d be glad to work that out. Let me know below along with everything else we need to consider.
As for a niche newsletter, we are going to leave the decision up to you. If you’re in favor of us sticking to what we publish now, give us a thumbs up below. If you want us to go niche, we will. Give us a thumbs down or up with a comment about a potential topic either from the ones we considered or one you like. That’s all you need to do to help us make this newsletter something you look forward to reading. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
Our goal is to publish a newsletter that resonates with you. A newsletter that you enjoy so much you’ll want to share with everyone you know. Or close to that!
Remember your comments are key to getting this newsletter ship shape as they say! Thanks
